In addition to providing community services using Buckner staff, Buckner actively seeks church and organizational collaborations to better provide community ministries, social services and mentoring programs. And to more actively give you an opportunity to serve your neighbors today.

MISSIONS:
Your church can travel with Buckner on a mission trip in the United States (Seattle, Wash. and the Rio Grande Valley) or to one of eight countries overseas to serve orphans and at-risk children and families and spread the Gospel message. Mission trips can be coordinated to meet your church group’s needs, but may consist of construction projects, distributing humanitarian aid, conducting Vacation Bible Schools or sports camps, or distributing shoes through the Buckner Shoes for Orphan Souls project. Buckner works to coordinate all of your group’s travel.

KIDS HOPE USA:
One child. One hour. One church. One school. This is the premise of the Buckner/KIDS HOPE USA collaboration where church members volunteer to mentor at-risk elementary school aged children in community public schools. Research proves that mentors can make a monumental impact in the life of a young child, helping to prevent future crime and school drop outs.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT:
If your church is looking for a way to engage your local community through church services, Buckner may be able to help. Buckner employees serve in churches around the U.S. providing knowledge and resources to operate after-school programs, food pantries, homeless ministries and others. FOSTER CARE & ADOPTION:
There are millions of children throughout the world who feel hopeless and abandoned, either lost in the U.S. child protective services system or struggling to survive on their own after losing both parents to the AIDS epidemic. Your church can provide homes to these children through the ministry of foster care and adoption.
