has grown and evolved over the past 10 years since Buckner first began working in Russia in 1995 in response to the government's invitation to help them overcome mounting problems in the orphanage system. Former programs in Latvia and Romania have found new local and international support
and today continue operations in a self-sufficient manner. Buckner
continues to work in Russia to provide orphanage support, Healthy Families programs and also conducts international adoptions.
