Faith and Family Day with the Texas Rangers

Annual day at the Texas Rangers was fun for all ages

It was a great day for baseball!

The Buckner 2024 Faith and Family Day at the Texas Rangers included children, families and seniors. Buckner also celebrated its 25th anniversary of Buckner Shoes for Orphan Souls® at the game.

Noah and Penelope G (pictured to the left with parents) joined Captain for his Rideout around the ballpark.

The ceremonial first pitch was thrown out by Shawn Spurrier, director of Buckner Shoes. Shawn was accompanied by Natasha Potts, who received a pair of shoes from Buckner while she lived in a Russian orphanage more than 20 years ago.

Children and families from our foster care and adoption program, as well as seniors from Ventana by Buckner in Dallas and from our newest senior living community The Stayton at Museum Way by Buckner in Fort Worth, had a wonderful ballpark experience.

Staff promoted the new Buckner Shoes Birthday Club experience for kids during the game and really enjoyed the fellowship with everyone who joined in the fun to cheer on the 2023 World Series Champions, the Texas Rangers.
