Buckner senior living communities include more than the residents who make their home there. It also includes the associates who work there and the friends and family members of the residents, even when separated by a pandemic.
"The COVID-19 pandemic has caused me to think about the idea of community quite a bit, especially the relationships within," said Charlie Wilson, senior vice president of Buckner Retirement Services. "I believe that Buckner, as a faith-based senior living provider, has always emphasized the importance of relationships within our communities. However, a silver lining of the pandemic has been an even greater strengthening of those relationships."
Buckner Retirement Services continues to inspire happiness during the pandemic by operating with integrity, empathy and compassion.
"For me, the love of Jesus is the foundation for our communities," Wilson said. "It is the ability to love one another that creates the relationships we need to weather any storm, or in this case, a global pandemic. We must continue to emphasize our sense of community and the relationships thread throughout."
